Since its inception in 1976, the Islamic Association of Tarrant County has blossomed into a mature full-service Islamic organization, alhamdulillah. Today, it is an umbrella organization for many functions including:
Comprehensive Religious and Da'awa activities
Sunday Islamic School
Texas School of Islamic Studies
Ar-Rawdah Muslim Cemetery
The IATC was chartered under the laws of the State of Texas and the United States as a non-profit religious organization in 1976. The original mosque, located at 4801 Fletcher Avenue in Fort Worth, was dedicated in April 1980.
The IATC is governed by a Constitution approved by the General Body. Its long term planning and day-to-day management are done by IATC Board of Trustees and IATC Shura. Both are elected by general body and regulated by the Association’s Bylaws.
A full-time Imam, who is a graduate of the Madina University, oversees religious and outreach programs.
The IATC is basically organized and run by volunteers.
